On board FOREL, navigation continues among icebergs and growlers — smaller fragments of ice drifting across the surface of the water. Little by little, a thin layer of sea ice is also beginning to form across the fjord, signalling the changing season.
Day by day, the Arctic landscape is transforming. Open waters are gradually giving way to ice, while the light, colours, and atmosphere evolve with the arrival of winter.
This transition, both silent and spectacular, is a reminder of the extraordinary power and beauty of the landscapes of East Greenland.
